VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 and VS200: the Anderson voltage mismatch

The VS200 is too low-voltage for the documented Anderson solar input. FlashSpeed 1500 has a separate DC input with different limits.

Can these products be connected?

Incompatible with the selected input

One VS200 YT-0243 200W panel does not meet the FlashSpeed 1500 Anderson input voltage requirement: its 18.9 V open-circuit and 16.2 V working voltages are below the 30 V minimum. Do not use an Anderson adapter as a way around this voltage mismatch.

Conditions before connection

  • Incompatible result is limited to one VS200 on the Anderson input. The separate DC route remains unconfirmed.
  • One unmodified panel only. This comparison does not approve series/parallel arrays or mixing panel revisions.
  • Use the manufacturer-specified charging input and cable. Check connector keying, polarity and cable ratings against the actual equipment; a matching connector name alone is not approval.
  • Do not connect a panel to an AC input or a DC output. Do not bypass protection or alter wiring to force a connection.
  • Manufacturer-listed pairing is not a laboratory test by Factinery. Nameplate watts are not a promise of charging speed.

Not assessed here: Firmware compatibility; Extension battery compatibility; UPS performance; Recall clearance; Multi-panel array design.

Two charging inputs, two different questions

The FlashSpeed 1500 documentation distinguishes the Anderson solar input from a separate DC input rated 12-20V and 200W maximum. This guide gives a negative answer only for the selected Anderson input. It does not conclude that the same panel can never be used with the station through another approved input.

Why the alternative DC route is not approved here

The VS200 listed voltage appears closer to the separate DC window, but the open-circuit value leaves limited headroom, a temperature coefficient is not provided, and a model-specific permissible input current is not established in the cited table. Those gaps prevent a general yes for the alternative input. Ask VTOMAN to confirm the exact panel revision and cable rather than treating the adapters as interchangeable.

What the manufacturer actually recommends

The FlashSpeed 1500 manual and kit listing identify a 400W VS400 pairing. That supports a different panel choice and is not evidence for VS200 on the Anderson port. This entry retains the named input and panel model so that an AI answer cannot turn a manufacturer kit into an all-panels compatibility claim.

Compare the other documented power-station and panel combinations.
